WERIDE-W, Uber Launch Robotaxi Commercial Operations in Downtown Abu Dhabi
2026-02-12 15:46:19 WERIDE-W (00800.HK) and Uber (UBER.US) announced the official launch of the first Robotaxi commercial operation service in downtown Abu Dhabi, marking the first deployment of autonomous vehicles in the city's center. With this service expansion, the Robotaxi operational area now covers approximately 70% of Abu Dhabi's core region. Since the commencement of Robotaxi commercial operations in December 2024, the fleet size of the collaboration has manifested a 4 times growth. Currently, WeRide has deployed over 200 Robotaxis in the Middle East. In the coming years, WeRide and Uber plan to expand the Robotaxi fleet in the Middle East to several thousand vehicles.
