Beijing Mkt Regulator Holds Talks with 12 3rd-Party Train Ticket Online Sales Platforms
2026-02-12 10:06:23
The Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation organized an administrative meeting with 12 major platforms involved in the online sale of train tickets, including TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK), Qunar, Fliggy, TONGCHENGTRAVEL (00780.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), Didi, Amap, Baidu Maps, and Tencent Maps, CCTV reported. The meeting addressed issues related to online train ticket sales.

During the meeting, the Administration clearly outlined four compliance requirements for the platforms. First, they must strictly implement their primary and social responsibilities and establish a correct business philosophy.

Second, they should comprehensively review their business models and service processes, prohibiting any explicit or implicit suggestions that consumers can gain priority ticket purchasing privileges through paid services, and promptly rectify misleading promotions.

Third, they must thoroughly rectify platform pages, remove products suspected of misleading advertising, adjust promotional content, and prohibit the use of images, text, and trademarks from 12306 that might mislead consumers into believing there is a specific business cooperation with 12306.

Fourth, they should ensure clear pricing, remind consumers of the content and prices of value-added services, and promptly address discrepancies between displayed train ticket prices and actual payment amounts due to unclear value-added service prompts, thereby safeguarding consumers' right to know.
