SMIC (00981.HK) logged a 60.7% YoY upsurge in net profit for the last quarter, but CLSA noted that the company's gross margin guidance for 1Q26 slightly missed consensus, leading to a 3.6% slide in its stock price. CHINA LIT (00772.HK) expected its IFRS loss for last year to widen to at least RMB750 million, suppressing its stock price by 7.1%. Among other techs, TENCENT (00700.HK) dipped 0.5% to HKD548. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) rebounded 0.3% to HKD89.1. JD-SW (09618.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) mounted 0.6-1.2%. Automakers were the top gainers, with XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) founder Lei Jun stating that Chinese President Xi Jinping's inspection of tech innovation work signaled a clear message of accelerating the development of new quality productivity through tech innovation, shoring up Xiaomi's stock price by 4.7% to HKD37.26 at midday. NIO-SW (09866.HK) aimed to achieve full-year profit on a non-GAAP basis this year, with its stock price soaring 2.6%. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) leaped 3.9% to HKD99.5.
