CN Foreign Ministry On Panama Port Ruling: To Take Measures to Protect CN Firms' Rights
2026-01-30 15:42:20 Panama's Supreme Court ruled that the contract for CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) to operate two ports near the Panama Canal is unconstitutional. Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded at a regular press conference, stating that the relevant enterprise has already issued a statement at the earliest opportunity, indicating that the ruling contradicts the laws under which Panama granted the relevant franchise rights. The enterprise will reserve all rights, including legal proceedings, said the spokesperson.
