CADA: CN Last Dec Auto Consumption Index Rises to 97.7; Auto Mkt Expected to Show 'Jumpstart' This Mth
2026-01-07 07:18:13 The China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) released the latest "Auto Consumption Index", which came in at 97.7 for December 2025, higher than the previous month. It was estimated that the automobile market will show a "jumpstart" this month. The sub-indexes constituting the Auto Consumption Index displayed that the demand sub-index for December 2025 was 90.3, an improvement from the previous month. The suppressed demand for car replacement due to the exhaustion of local subsidies at the end of last year, coupled with the pre-festival car purchase demand driven by upcoming Spring Festival, boosted car purchase demand this month.
