WeChat Pay HK Included in 'Payment Connect' for Fee-Free Remittances to Mainland CN
2025-12-23 15:46:19 WeChat Pay HK, included as a participating institution in the "Payment Connect", became the first electronic wallet to participate in the FPS Payment Connect. WeChat Pay HK stated that users can make cross-border transfers to personal bank accounts or mobile numbers in Mainland China without any fees through the "Payment Connect". They can also receive funds from payers in Mainland China. However, the cross-border transfer service is now only available to Hong Kong residents.
