MOC: CN Takes Practical Measures to Exempt Compliant Civilian Chip Exports, Urges Firms to Resolve Internal Disputes via Negotiation ASAP
2025-12-23 08:08:46
Regarding rumors that the wafer inventory at Nexperia's Dongguan plant is currently at a low level, leading to chip shortages among both domestic and foreign automakers in China, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) said that the Chinese government, with a responsible attitude towards the global semiconductor production and supply chain, has taken practical measures to exempt compliant civilian chip exports, creating necessary conditions for the stable and smooth operation of the semiconductor supply chain.

Meanwhile, companies are urged to resolve internal disputes through negotiation as soon as possible.

It is understood that, last week, leaders from Wingtech Technology and Nexperia Netherlands held the first round of negotiations to explain and clarify issues of mutual concern, and agreed to maintain communication.

China calls on relevant companies to negotiate on control rights and supply chain restoration issues, concretely restoring the global semiconductor production and supply chain.
