HSI Ends Down 10 Pts; Chips Subdued; ZTE Tumbles 13%

The HSI ended the day down 10 points or less than 0.1% at 25,530. The HSCEI fell 20 points or 0.2% to close at 8,934. The HSTECH dropped 46 points or 0.8%, closing at 5,534. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD182.477 billion.

BABA-W (09988.HK) slid 1.7% to HKD150.6. It is reported that the resale price of its Quark AI glasses surged to RMB5,000, and the delivery period was extended to 45 days. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) dipped 0.6% to HKD66.75. It has introduced new policies for comic-style dramas, offering up to RMB20,000 incentives per series. NTES-S (09999.HK) lost 0.6%, even though its game "Where Winds Meet Mobile" recorded over 5 million global pre-registrations for the international server. SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) eroded 2% despite a YoY increase of 7.5% in its November mobile phone lens shipments.

Among other tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) inched down 0.2% and 0.1%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) added 0.2% and 1.5%. JD INDUSTRIALS (07618.HK), a spin-off from JD-SW (09618.HK), made its debut today. JD-SW lost 0.4%, while JD INDUSTRIALS closed at HKD14.1, unchanged from its listing price.

In addition, MEITU (01357.HK), KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK), KINGSOFT (03888.HK), and WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) shed 2.9-3.1%. ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) and KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK) sank 3.9% and 4.2%.

Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) faded 2.3% and 4.8%. ZTE (00763.HK) cratered 13.1%.
