2025-12-04 09:35:18 The HSI opened 43 points or 0.2% higher at 25,804. The HSCEI climbed 23 points or 0.3% to 9,051. The HSTECH rose 11 points or 0.2% to 5,546. In the FTSE China 50 Index review, CHINAHONGQIAO (01378.HK), CATL (03750.HK), and HENGRUI PHARMA (01276.HK) were included, while CSC (06066.HK), GWMOTOR (02333.HK), and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) were excluded. CHINAHONGQIAO opened up 2.8%. CATL inched 0.3% higher. HENGRUI PHARMA and CSC remained flat at HKD71.8 and HKD12.15. GWMOTOR dipped 0.6%. LI AUTO-W slipped 2.3%. As more than 20 cities in China have reportedly halted or adjusted car trade-in subsidies due to depletion of national subsidy funds, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) opened declining 0.2%. NIO-SW (09866.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) slid 1.2% and 1.7%. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) added 0.6%. Among tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) shed 0.3% and 0.2% at open. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK), and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) edged 0.1-0.3% higher. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) hiked 0.9% and 0.6%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) stayed intact at HKD114.6 and HKD197.5. JD HEALTH (06618.HK) rallied 3.1%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) ticked up 0.1% and 0.7%. With the LME copper price hitting a record high, JIANGXI COPPER (00358.HK) soared 4.3% at open.
