IMF: 1H25 Asia's Growth Exceeds Expectations; 2025 Econ Growth Forecasts for CN/ HK Raised
2025-10-24 11:53:02 Economies in the Asia-Pacific region have been resilient in 2025, posting stronger-than-expected economic growth in 1H25 amid domestic and external challenges, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its Asia-Pacific Economic Outlook report saying. However, the higher US tariffs and increasing protectionism will likely reduce demand for Asian exports and eventually weigh on Asia's economic growth in the near term.
