Trump Announces Immediate Halt to All Trade Talks with Canada

US President Donald Trump announced an immediate halt to all trade negotiations with Canada.

Trump criticized an advertisement on the Truth Social platform that the ad featured negative comments by former US President Ronald Reagan on tariffs.

He added that tariffs are crucial for US national security and economy, and declared that, due to Canada's misbehavior, all trade talks with Canada are terminated.

CAD/ USD last slid nearly 0.2% to 0.7137.
