Tropical Storm Mitag was estimated to be about 180 kilometers east of Hong Kong, and is forecast to move northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour in the general direction of the coast of eastern Guangdong and intensify slightly, according to the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO).
