Tencent Games Launches Special Summer Initiative to Protect Minors, Introducing Temporary Game Logoff & Parent-Initiated Facial Recognition Features

The initiatives feature two major new functions: "Temporary Game Logoff" and "Parent-Initiated Facial Recognition", which will be available across Tencent's PC and mobile games operated in mainland China. The "Temporary Game Logoff" is designed for parents who wish to temporarily limit their child's gaming time. It allows parents to set a one-time play duration (such as 15 minutes or 1 hour), after which the account will be automatically logged out. The "Parent-Initiated Facial Recognition" feature allows parents to activate a facial recognition check on their child's account without their knowledge.
