NIO-SW: Non-essential R&D Projects Will Not Be Initiated; Workforce Streamlined Recently
2025-06-03 17:59:55 NIO-SW (09866.HK) founder, chairman, and CEO William Li stated internally that the company experienced its worst phase in nearly six years during the first quarter of this year, and has recently streamlined many non-direct sales positions, Chinese media reported. In the past, many projects were driven by intuition, proceeding if they felt right, with investment calculations and project initiation mechanisms lacking rigor, Li conceded. As for now, NIO's R&D project meetings have become more cautious, frequently discussing costs.
