NWD's Multiple Perpetual Notes Set to Hit New Lows: Wire
2025-06-02 12:26:14 Investors wobbled on the reports of NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK) delaying interest payments on four perpetual notes. According to Bloomberg statistics, the company has postponed debt repayment obligations totaling USD77.2 million, and the related bonds have fallen to historical lows. Specifically, the 6.15% perpetual notes sank by around US3 cents to US23 cents, which is expected to dive to its lowest level since issuance. Also likely to hit historical lows, the 4.8% perpetual notes cratered by US10 cents to US15.5 cents, marking the largest single-day drop since October 2022. NEW WORLD DEV opened 2.92% lower today (2nd) and once bottomed at HKD4.28.
