Rear Half of NIO EC6 Breaks Apart After Collision in SH: Wire; NIO Says 2 Users Aren't in Critical Condition

Surveillance footage shows that the vehicle suddenly changed lanes while driving, and eventually crashed into the roadside isolation zone. NIO-SW (09866.HK) officially refuted rumors through its Weibo account releasing an Explanation of Shanghai Vehicle Collision Accident, which stated that the two users received timely medical treatment, and are not in life-threatening condition. At the time of the accident, the involved NIO vehicle did not have the assisted driving system activated. After the collision, the car doors automatically unlocked, and the door handles popped open.
